About us

We are 4th generation dairy farmers in Lancashire.

It was the next generation that inspired Croft Farm Toys. One Christmas, my eldest wrote on his list: “a butterfly mower just like Grandad’s”.

This started me thinking. After how difficult it had been to find him the perfect gift—even having to import it—I wondered just how many other farm-loving children would love to have their very own toys and be “just like grandad” or “just like mummy and daddy”.

This started the dream of Croft Farm Toys—a name combining the name of our house (‘Croft’) and the farm we live on and love.

With the support of my mum and the rest of the family, we took the leap to start a new business, stocking well-known farm toy brands like Rolly and Britains.

But designing toys has always been a secret passion. After sharing a drawing of a farmyard I’d sketched (with the help and guidance of my 3 boys) with a family friend, they gave us the opportunity to turn that into a reality. Twelve months later, the first product of our own range of toys was here!

And we’re not stopping there. We have more products on the way to keep children’s love, interest, and passion for farming going for generations the best way possible—through playing!
